Cobra Gold have been done in Thailand more than 30 years. Originally it was only the Marine and the Navy warfare, but today the Army and the Air Force have also joined too.

Cobra Gold เป็นการฝึกร่วมทางทหาร ระหว่างกองทัพสหรัฐอเมริกา กับประเทศที่เป็นพันธมิตรในทวีปเอเชีย  โดยเฉพาะประเทศไทย กว่า 30 ปี ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่แล้วจะฝึกทหารเหล่านาวิกโยธิน (Marine) ซึ่งถ้าเป็นของอภิมหาอำนาจอย่างสหรัฐอเมริกา นาวิกโยธินจะเป็นกองทัพนาวิกโยธิน (U.S.Marine) แต่ถ้าประเทศเล็กๆ อย่างของไทยจะขึ้นอยู่กับกองทัพเรือ หน่วยทหารของไทยก็จะอยู่ที่ค่ายทหารนาวิกโยธิน อำเภอสัตหีบ จังหวัดชลบุรี  การฝึกนี้มีทุกปี และมีหน่วยทหารจากประเทศสิงคโปร์ เกาหลี มาแจมฝึกด้วย  ในภาพนี้เป็นการฝึกดำรงชีวิตในป่า
